Coaching Live Sellers to Optimize Conversion at Live Sell Academy

So many ideas, so much to do, so little time - and I thought I’d left all that behind. It’s been 5 months since I waved goodbye to my friends and colleagues with whom I’d been working for 28 years. So, what’s changed? Pretty much everything - I’m married, I’m a trained coach on the way to gaining my official accreditation as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

What does coaching live sellers mean? It’s exactly what it sounds like - I’m on a mission to provide authentic coaching, actionable strategies, and supportive business guidance to help live selling small businesses in the fashion industry optimize conversions, increase engagement, reduce cart abandonment and maximise sales - which ultimately means scaling businesses for maximum, sustained growth. That’s why I co-founded the Live Sell Academy.

I’ve reached the point where it’s now time to give back a little, and to share the secrets I’ve discovered over my 28 years working inside the largest tv shopping company in the world, and Fortune 500 Company, QVC. My skill and talent has been developed from the 14 different roles I have worked in, specifically sales strategy, training, producing, directing, merchandising and planning - and I am on a mission to help authentic creators become live selling eperts. Why?

Because we are on the cusp of a live shopping revolution in Asia, Europe and the USA - in China, live shopping, or live commerce to use the corporate term, has become a significant part of the Chinese retail landscape, accounting for 10% of the country’s entire ecommerce market. That’s 5 trillion yuan in 2023, up from 420 billion yuan in 2019, expected to surge to 8.16 trillion yuan by 2026.

In South Korea, live shopping is gaining traction and a survey in May of 2024 revealed that more than 44% of respondents has purchased food and related products through live shopping events.

In the UK and USA, live shopping online is showing considerable growth, with revenue from live shopping forecasted to grow to $700 million by 2027 in the UK (CAGR 26.3%) and $5.5 billion in the US (CAGR 30.3%). EXPLAINER: CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) is the rate at which an investment grows annually over a specific period, assuming the profits are reinvested each year, which makes it useful for comparing investments over time.

What does this mean for you? If you’re not already live selling, you should be! Live shopping has arrived and is here to stay - and anyone can do it!
